What John The Revelator ACTUALLY Saw
Shocking new discoveries may change the way we view the Book of Revelation.
Google "Revelation 12 + September 23, 2017" for added insight on what John the Revelator saw an what this means to those of "The House of Israel" and all who were adopted into this covenant be it Christian or otherwise... days of Tribulation are happening now. The great Tribulation is NOT yet but maybe 23 months away. Watch and be vigilant. (Revelation 16:15; 18:4)

7 Things That Still Need to Happen Before The Global Flood
In recent decades, there seems to have been an unusual amount of hubbub regarding how close we are to the so called "Flooding of the Earth." But here are 7 things that still need to happen before this flood should come.
There seems to be a cycle... about every 300-400 years. I remember well attending a meeting with the Methuselah as we discussed during this sit down. I would hear Methuselah chasten and warn the followers of the great God of this World about paying too much attention to what was considered as "False Hellfire and Destruction" to come upon people in the near future much like this flood we hear about today. Because of these loose speakings of prophecy, we ought to be cautioned against jumping on every camel wagon and attaching ourselves to every doomsday craze assuring us that we need not concern ourselves with any sort of hell raining down from the heavens ie a change in our bartering system going from the trading of goods into creating a system of money known as "Currency" Our greatest soothsayers have brought us this future transcript where in it reads, "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." so in order for us to understand our day, we would need to have a better understanding of this latter-day prophecy... and again, if it were important to have mentioned this, would Enoch not have left us any clues? Anything to compare it to? I submit that we have no such thing to compare with for we know not for it shall not happen.
Weeks before Methuselah died well into his 900's, he spoke to small pockets of human settlers about the many hardships that this world would present us... as if we didn't already know this. Hello! Adam and Eve became exiled from the garden and we ALL know what difficulty this has brought to mankind. Some years I don't even know if my seeds will produce the right amount of wheat for my family of 100 including my 35 wives...but I digress.
My point is this; if the God of this world will be raining judgement down upon us (literally...water falling from the sky?) then this would have been explained to us by Enoch but for some reason, he is no longer around for us to question on these matters. Wouldn't Enoch have come back to warn us and not this "Noah" fellow who is all doomsey and gloomy about this flooding thing?
There are many things that must STILL take place before there could EVER be a flood of this magnitude as warned by Noah. (Image is only an artist's rendition of how he thinks the Arc would look upon the waters/great seas.)
1)There must actually be water that falls from the heavens. Clearly, we all understand how our ground and vegetation is able to grow, from mists of water that come from out of the land in which we live as if by eternal springs of water. These never get shut off. If rain should be falling from the sky, then who is up there turning it on? If I cannot understand how this rain thing must happen then I am most certain that NOAH does not know! And this water is supposed to just fall from the sky? I hear that this rain is about some sort of droplets which should form up in the firmament. WHO is forming these so called "Droplets?"
2)The days of wickedness that we are experiencing now could not possibly be any worse than those days which should occupy the end times? I beg to differ! Our people are not wicked now and neither will the people during some sort of period called, "The Latter-Days" for we are ALL agents unto ourselves and we all prosper according to our genius. It sounds like the people born into the latter-day period will be some very weak people or else why would it be said that those days would be more wicked than our day and who is to say that our day is even wicked? Judge not lest the God of this world judge YOU, Noah!
3)A representation of animals should all make their way to the arc. This, we all know, would have to be an impossible task... for who can coax just one Lamb or Sheep into following them let alone 2? Who is this Noah fellow and his sons? Are they all animal whisperers? When I see animals marching themselves into a procession straight onto the arc by nearly 'supernatural' means, then perhaps I should listen.
4)Church HQ must be moved to a place called Mt Ararat. (For those of you who have never heard of the words Mt or Mountain, I shall explain. A mountain is any dome shaped or tall expanse of earth that raises high into the sky (similar to this Tower of Babel idea I have heard some people talking about hoping to construct during this Millennium but we're not talking about any mountain made with hands... Oh no. We're talking about a naturally occuring raising of earth at the level of 677.3333333314548 cubits or HIGHER.)
I do not believe in the formation of Mountains for we all know that the land in which we live on is flat and there isn't anything more than a mole hill to speak of so I currently am unaware of any such mountain. Some say that this Mt Ararat will be located far to the east of us. I just don't see this happening in the time frame in which Noah has suggested that this may take place. It would take MUCH longer to traverse such a land expanse anyhow in the estimated One year and 10 days" figure he assumes it would take for his boat (which we know will NOT go anywhere but rot towards the dirt until it shall become extinct or stone made from wood.) So... this Mt Ararat idea? Is it possible? I've never traveled that far east but highly unlikely that the Headquarters of the religion of the HOOTSOG (H*ly order of The Son of G*D) will be moved in time for this water subsiding or even by land.
The word of God must be preached to every creature? It is Noah and his one son (that we're aware of, that is) to preach this message to ALL of the inhabitants of the earth? Good luck! He would need a spider web communication type expanse where he could talk into it and people from all over could listen in for this to actually come to pass...
5) Congregagions of this church, I hear, must be found all over the earth. So far, all there is is an old man, his wife, and 6 others. You've got a very long way to go, Noah.
6) There must be clouds and a colorful bow (aka an Arch with colors) We do not know what this cloud is supposed to be and/or rainbows. We all know that the air which is around us is full of moisture. It leaves its wetness on the ground as the dew. I cannot imagine a world or what that would even look like to see these hazy skies to once again form themselves into tiny groupings of moisture that they call clouds. This is an important part of the prophecy for the coming rains because water is said to be expelled from these 'white factories of water' way high up in the clouds. WHO WILL BE WORKING up high? And would those people not also fall to the earth? For we have assurances that this thing (which is called gravity by our ancestors) would then also not cause that any man who is working up in these white terraces of highly dense moisture that they should fall to the ground and be themselves as though they were dead causing the immediate deaths to those who should dash their bodies onto the ground? The prophecy says that during this period of 40 days and 40 nights of 'rain' or 'water falling from these tiny white or darker colored 'clouds' for lack of a better term that this object in the sky that is going to be named after "The Son" should then also be as bright as this object that we should then call as the Sun? Blasphemy! For we know that the "Lord alone is our light!"
7) Last but not least... The Arc should be built before the animals and those in the family of Noah should gather and enter therein. We all know about what an undertaking this project actually is. As far as I am aware, I have seen NO other man or woman assist them in the building of this very large boat. Until now, we have only seen the corner-piece laid at the food of this ship as a sign that this is the future site where the arc shall stand but that before this day of flooding, this boat shall be built. Noah is 600 years old. This age is WELL beyond retirement and it is highly unlikely that he and 3 other men could take on this undertaking and actually finish the arc on time.
I wish to encourage all who are able to read this that they not create or spread any of this emotional frenzy to frighten any locals. For all we know, this ship will just sit there in the dirt for 20-30 more years and if there is any other brief floodings, it will be because the fountains have produced a 'local flood' in the area and not this "World Wide Flood" in which Noah says was what God intended to do. It is not to assume an authority or presume to hold a stewardship that is reserved for men such as Enoch (may he return soon with his people from his spot high above us) and may we also begin some preliminary plans for this tower so that we can reach the heights just as well. Wouldn't that be great, though?
It just seems easier to actually build a tower than I think it would be to have to follow all of these ordinances of which Noah speaks as things that are necessary such as baptism, prayers constantly to God at the altar. I pray! I honor this earth in which we live. I fight hard and in my strength... sure things get a little violent around here but that's life, at times. Until you live this life out in the wilderness as we have since the days of Adam and Even, one ought not to judge.
What do I care if Noah prepares for this pretend flood event if he isn't harming me or others. All I know is none of my family would be caught dead entering the arc! What a colossal waste of resources, if you ask me. Our task is to live a sane and balanced life and not be all about the "doom and gloom" but live a life that is dignified and determined manner. To be actively involved in that which is mainstream. Therein is our safety... and if God sends one of those tiny globes of water (which has also been given the name of rain) then it would SURE take many many many of these to fill the whole earth. I just don't think that those white, puffy clouds have the resources of producing that much water. I'm sorry. Not even the HAZE of moisture which keeps our nice, warm atmosphere as comfortable as possible could dump all of it's water... no matter HOW much water springs forth from the crust of the earth or from the springs beneath!
I submit that if we do these things and gather water as we always have and continue to till the earth and await any further light and knowledge from TRUE Prophets of the Lord as was Enoch then things will continue on all is well. I do not believe that every man, woman and child (or animal for that matter) should perish! This just doesn't sound like a loving God to me. Does that to you?
I don't believe that a loving God would do this to his children... for how could we continue to multiply and replenish his earth if we are ALL DEAD? Methuselah said we would see our grand children and great grand children and not to worry so much about this doom and gloom.

The Vision of George Washington at Valley Forge
George Washington was known to pray often while he was commander and chief of the Continental Armies. Although some would have you discredit the source or perhaps disbelieve in his vision altogether, this is something to be reckoned with much like the book, "The Shepherd of Hermas" (compare to the vision that the shepherd also had with the maid... or if you are a Mormon, see also and compare with the Vision of Nephi as contained in the 1 Nephi Chapters 11-15
Anthony Sherman wrote:
You doubtless heard the story of Washington's going to the thicket to pray in secret for aid and comfort from God, the interposition of whose Divine Providence brought us safely through the darkest days of tribulation . One day, I remember it well, when the chilly winds whistled through the leafless trees, though the sky was cloudless and the sun shown brightly, he remained in his quarters nearly all the afternoon alone. When he came out, I noticed that his face was a shade paler than usual. There seemed to be something on his mind of more than ordinary importance. Returning just after dusk, he dispatched an orderly to the quarters who was presently in attendance. After a preliminary conversation of about an hour, Washington, gazing upon his companion with that strange look of dignity which he alone commanded, related the event that occurred that day.
By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible. I assayed once more to address her, but my tongue had become useless, as though it had become paralyzed.
A new influence, mysterious, potent, irresistible, took possession of me. All I could do was to gaze steadily, vacantly at my unknown visitor. Gradually the surrounding atmosphere seemed as if it had become filled with sensations, and luminous. Everything about me seemed to rarefy, the mysterious visitor herself becoming more airy and yet more distinct to my sight than before. I now began to feel as one dying, or rather to experience the sensations which I have sometimes imagined accompanydissolution . I did not think, I did not reason, I did not move; all were alike impossible. I was only conscious of gazing fixedly, vacantly at my companion.
Presently I heard a voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn," while at the same time my visitor extended her arm eastwardly, I now beheld a heavy white vapor at some distance rising fold upon fold. This gradually dissipated, and I looked upon a stranger scene. Before me lay spread out in one vast plain all the countries of the world — Europe, Asia, Africa and America. I saw rolling and tossing between Europe and America the billows of the Atlantic, and between Asia and America lay the Pacific.
"Son of the Republic," said the same mysterious voice as before, "look and learn." At that moment I beheld a dark, shadowy being, like an angel, standing or rather floating in mid-air, between Europe and America. Dipping water out of the ocean in the hollow of each hand, he sprinkled some upon America with his right hand, while with his left hand he cast some on Europe. Immediately a cloud raised from these countries, and joined in mid-ocean. For a while it remained stationary, and then moved slowly westward, until it enveloped America in its murky folds. Sharp flashes of lightning gleamed through it at intervals, and I heard the smothered groans and cries of the American people.
A second time the angel dipped water from the ocean, and sprinkled it out as before. The dark cloud was then drawn backto the ocean, in whose heaving billows in sank from view. A third time I heard the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn," I cast my eyes upon America and beheld villages and towns and cities springing up one after another until the whole land from the Atlantic to the Pacific was dotted with them.
Again, I heard the mysterious voice say, "Son of the Republic, the end of the century cometh, look and learn." At this the dark shadowy angel turned his face southward, and from Africa I saw an ill omened specter approach our land. It flitted slowly over every town and city of the latter. The inhabitants presently set themselves in battle array against each other. As I continued looking I saw a bright angel, on whose brow rested a crown of light, on which was traced the word "Union," bearing the American flag which he placed between the divided nation, and said, "Remember ye are brethren." Instantly, the inhabitants, casting from them their weapons became friends once more, and united around the National Standard.
"And again I heard the mysterious voice saying "Son of the Republic, look and learn." At this the dark, shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth, and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia and Africa. Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene: From each of these countries arose thick, black clouds that were soon joined into one. Throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with thecloud , marched by land and sailed by sea to America. Our country was enveloped in this volume of cloud, and I saw these vast armies devastate the whole county and burn the villages, towns and cities that I beheld springing up. As my ears listened to the thundering of the cannon, clashing of sword, and the shouts and cries of millions in mortal combat, I heard again the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn" When the voice had ceased, the dark shadowy angel placed his trumpet once more to his mouth, and blew a long and fearful blast. "Instantly a light as of a thousand suns shone down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments the dark cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment the angel upon whose head still shone the word Union, and who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens attended by legions of white spirits. These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were will nigh overcome, but who immediately taking courage again, closed up their broken ranks and renewed the battle.
Again, amid the fearful noise of the conflict, I heard the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn." As the voice ceased, the shadowy angel for the last time dipped water from the ocean and sprinkled it upon America. Instantly the dark cloud rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious!
Then once more I beheld the villages, towns and cities springing up where I had seen them before, while the bright angel, planting the azure standard he had brought in the midst of them, cried with a loud voice: "While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last." And taking from his brow the crown on which blazoned the word "Union," he placed it upon the Standard while the people, kneeling down, said, "Amen."
The scene instantly began to fade and dissolve, and I at last saw nothing but the rising, curling vapor I at first beheld. This also disappearing, I found myself once more gazing upon the mysterious visitor, who, in the same voice I had heard before, said, "Son of the Republic, what you have seen is thus interpreted: Three great perils will come upon the Republic. The most fearful is the third, but in this greatest conflict the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and the Union." With these words the vision vanished, and I started from my seat and felt that I had seen a vision wherein had been shown to me the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States.
Disclaimer: On the www.ushistory.org webpage, they present these words to you, as follows and I will attempt to correct or debunk as they are written paragraph by paragraph, where possible.
In the National Tribune, 1880, an article appeared giving an account of the "Vision of Washington" at Valley Forge. The account was told by a gentleman named Anthony Sherman, who supposedly was at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78. The story has been published several times. Well, he either was or he wasn't. He alone has to attest to his whereabouts at the pleasing bar of justice and our adherence to these words may mean the difference between survival and extinction as one could quite easily read this account and have cause for concern!
Some people will say that it is substantiated by the fact that a copy of the account is in the Library of Congress. This argument of authenticity is misleading in and of itself. The Library of Congress has copies of anything published. That does not indicate accuracy of the content. (ie, the claims, opinions and representations herein are solely those of the archived historians and the words of Anthony Sherman to the best of his knowledge. This, in no way, lessens their veracity. They could also have said these things as a CYOA tactic and as to not endorse this as some sort of confirmation for religion, religious beliefs or an endorsement for the existence of angelic beings.)
I am unaware of any eighteenth-century evidence that corroborates this story. The soldier mentioned as having a first-hand account of the "Vision," Anthony Sherman, was a soldier in the Continental Army. However, according to his pensionapplication , written by him, he states that he was at Saratoga under the command of Benedict Arnold at the end of 1777 and only joined the main forces in 1778 in New Jersey just before the Battle of Monmouth. Once again... Lack of evidence is not the evidence of lack.
"George Washington's Vision"
This afternoon, as I was sitting at this table engaged in preparing a dispatch, something seemed to disturb me. Looking up, I beheld standing opposite me a singularly beautiful female. So astonished was I, for I had given strict orders not to be disturbed, that it was some moments before I found language to inquire the cause of her presence. A second, a third and even a fourth time did I repeat my question, but received no answer from my mysterious visitor except a slight raising of her eyes.By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible. I assayed once more to address her, but my tongue had become useless, as though it had become paralyzed.

At that moment I beheld a dark, shadowy being, like an angel, standing or rather floating in mid-air, between Europe and America.
The dark cloud was then drawn back
Again, I heard the mysterious voice say, "Son of the Republic, the end of the century cometh, look and learn." At this the dark shadowy angel turned his face southward, and from Africa I saw an ill omened specter approach our land.
Throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with the
Again, amid the fearful noise of the conflict, I heard the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn." As the voice ceased, the shadowy angel for the last time dipped water from the ocean and sprinkled it upon America.
However, according to his pension

After September's Lunar Eclipse, Has Time Run Out?
This Christian-friendly version will enable you to help them understand both the significance of the Blood Moon Tetrads (as they pertain to the feasts and special events held by the "House of Israel") and understand where we happen to be in History now as it pertains to them in this possibly greatest and LAST Blood Moon Tetrad immediately preceding the Second coming of Jesus Christ?
What we do know is that it is the 8th to come forth since the resurrection of Jesus Christ and in each since that day has marked some VERY significant events for the Jewish people, which still shall be reckoned with by the Lord himself always recounting that they are, in his words, "The Jews, mine ancient covenant people."
Since the Spanish Inquisition in 1493 (during the same time that Christopher Columbus had reached the New World and just shortly after that) there was a blood moon Tetrad.
Now in 2014-2015, this one marks what could possibly be the most significant of events yet unknown just prior to what Christians have been hoping for which is the Second coming of Jesus Christ and what for the Jews should mean, "The Beginning of the End of Days" which would bring forth conditions for the coming of the Messiah.
This day has finally arrived... and it is weeks away from the time this video will have been uploaded for your viewing.
Saying that not one Single Tetrad 1600-1900 falling on the days of these Jewish Feasts/Holidays is extremely significant since there won't be another like it until 500+ years or more away.
Now is the time that all Christians and Jews ought to be paying attention.

I put the word Blood Moon Tetrad #8, A Reckoning because we're too busy making history to know what will have been said of it in the years to come. I suspect that something BIG and HUGE is about to transpire.
Time to check and see if your tents work and if you have some sort of food storage and/or a way to prepare that food and repack your 72 hour kits. BE PREPARED!!!

Prophecy Fulfilled - 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5:1-6
#BibleProphecy #SecondComing #LatterDay #LastTimes #Obama #PeaceAndSafety
Perpetual Peace and Safety is a Fairy Tale and things get even worse when there is a promise of peace shouted so loudly as if to convince the world that it's opposite is not true and just lurking around the corner. That's what this latter-day prophecy means to me!
Last Days Prophecy Fulfilled The Time Has COME!

How Long Do You Plan To Survive?
"...but if ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."
We have heard this perhaps more than a time or two and it is fitting to suggest that this is absolutely true in all things. Preparedness both temporally as well as spiritually is a sure way to ensure that ones days should be "long upon the land" as the scriptures go. The promise of both prophets of old and of modern prophets is such... "Keep the commandments of God and ye shall prosper in the land of promise."
Here are some tips and helps that could make your preparations for emergencies go a little more smoothly as well as enable you or empower you to begin NOW and have no fear while doing so.
First of all, start with what you have and decide how long you plan to survive outside of or inside the home and plan accordingly. Financial planners do the same thing when they ask you about retirement. "How long do you plan to live after..." and then fill in the blank. If the answer is, "A terrorist attack" then you might want to ensure that the proper protection is available to you such as a taser, a gun or some other light weight weapon that you could carry in case you encounter some sort of intruder. Knowing this and knowing exactly what is needed will ensure that you have the greatest of chances of 'living through these times" and doing so with the proper resources for doing it.
Start now, not later.
Even if you are on a tight budget or on NO budget at all, you can still prepare and you can still get organized. Begin looking around in the home for some of the things that are laying about and you'll find that you have more than you think you do. Even on a tight budget, you could begin putting things into a box until you could purchase a back pack for 5-10 dollars. The Dollar store is a good reference for things that could go into your backpacks. About 80% of the things I have in my 72 hour kit was purchased little by little from the things I could find at the dollar store including but not limited to: granola bars, LED flashlights, batteries, trail mix, sunflower seeds and so forth. We also use Amazon Prime in order to find great deals on those things that we cant get cheap but can usually find quickly and at only 2 days shipping, ships 7 days a week. Amazon Prime is where I was able to pick up 3600 calorie bars, water pumps, a life straw and other things and I was able to do so with free shipping while on prime. Army surplus stores are nice to visit as well if you're looking for additional camping gear however it has been my experience that these places are expensive and if you're on a tight budget, you want your 200-500 dollars to cover as much as it can possibly cover.
Safety and other concerns should also be discussed and explained to members of the family in case of any emergency both disasters man made as well as natural ones.
1) Where to meet up in case of an emergency.
2) Having ready to grab at a moments notice of about 15-30 minutes enough food an clothes and were it possible blankets and sleeping bags to last every member of the family for at least 3 days.
3) Have read the means for personal protection such as a shot gun or a hand gun to fend off an attacker or possibly any wild animals should one take their refuge in the mountains.
4) Plan for both long term and short term eventualities and other such disasters so that you are not adequately prepared for one but hilariously unprepared for something else. Note: Probably preparing for a total blackout via some sort of disruption to a power grid and/or some sort of airborn EMP device ought to be answered with equally effective preparation such as: On going energy needs, transportation, food, light, and access to communication via a handheld radio or other such instruments to send and receive messages to area leadership and to be able to speak with those who aim to provide aid and support to any and all that are also trying to cope with and thrive during an environment of complete isolation from the outside world and some of life's amenities.
I have also wondered what is supposed to go in ones 72 hour kits. Bottom line is simply this. "What will keep you nourished, warm and independent while on your own for 3 days?"
You don't have to be MacGuyver to successfully stay away from danger or out of harms way for a pair of days here and there but you should have things that could aid you in starting a fire, eating food, fending off danger and ultimately get you around while heading in the right direction.
Things that may be included in your kits may possibly be: a radio, map, a compass, flint, matches, fire starters, flashlights, batteries, laser pointers, first aid and last but not least spare clothes. Bonus: If you plan to be out in nature, consider getting a notepad and ways to write things and/or a field guide of some sort which can help you positively identify food, animals and trees. Having this field guide can help you steer clear of any poisonous plants or foods which if coming in contact with those things could spell problems, then it would be best going into that situation 'in the know.'
What can I eat? I recommend MRE foods, granola bars and also 3600 calorie bars or 'bricks' as I like to call them. These will allow you to function for at least 1 day each if plenty of hiking and moving about is necessary.
I recommend trail mix, hard candies and some gum as well to help curb your appetite during your time away thus helping you NOT to consume all of your calories too soon leaving you destitute for food well before it's time.
A way to get clean water or a way to clean your water and make sure that you stay well hydrated. Even in colder temperatures, one must be hydrated in order for the blood to circulate the warmth that is within you properly into the other extremities of the body which need to be warm such as the fingers and toes. Consider a "Life Straw" or "Life Straw Bottle" where possible, chlorine tablets, and also bottles of water for drinking and later mixing of water with the chlorine tablets.
Travel light, travel in packs or with a buddy.
If you can travel with a companion or your family, then all the while better. More than 2 people can also stay close together and help to keep one another warm in the event where one has to stay overnight somewhere and aren't able to go home whether out in the wild or not. Even if you have a safe place to go and have some shelter over your heads, the buddy system will always serve.
Last but not least...
Keep your things out and not packed away some where. A hidden or buried survival kit will do you very little good if this means that you have to leave in a hurry and do so without your provisions. Also: Remember to set aside some money, silver, or other things that you could barter with in case you meet someone else who might be able to provide you additional provisions for a price.
The Lord and his prophets have warned mankind since the days of revelation began and could be recorded and kept for our benefit. We are living in the last times spoken of by mouth of his holy prophets and as the days move along, the world will move along completely unaware of the calamities and the tribulations which lay ahead of us all. There will be much confusion and concerns as to how one may continue to prosper. According to Thomas S Monson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we ought to "Be of good cheer. Y(OUR) future is as bright as your faith!"
Having a bright future is all good and well however, one should have to prepare for that. Letting ourselves believe that our futures are bright is all fine and well however one must prepare for that.
This will not be granted to us from the blue fairy... regardless of our race, gender, or spirituality, one should lay up in store for themselves a surplus of both food and water and keep on hand for themselves, at the very least, 6 months worth of food and water, where it may be possible.
The Lord loves you and as long as you stay close to him and remain obedient to his commandments, he will be able to see you through any situation and you will be led to places of safety. Pray always and faint not.
Scriptures for your consideration and study:
Doctrine and Covenants 105:14 "For behold, I do not require at their hands to fight the battles of Zion; for, as I said in a former commandment, even so will I fulfil—I will fight your battles."
Doctrine and Covenants 45: 68 And it shall come to pass among the wicked, that every man that will not take his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety. 69 And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven; and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another. 70 And it shall be said among the wicked: Let us not go up to battle against Zion, for the inhabitants of Zion are terrible; wherefore we cannot stand. 71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy.

Like It Or Not, Gossip Is Real and Cliques Are Too
My fellow brothers and sisters... my answer to this growing plague which causes ones enthusiasm to dim is simply this...Gossip is evil and it exists and it hurts and it won't be going away anytime soon. People will continue to pass judgment and hold onto their cherished judgments made about you even even many seconds and minutes after you have partaken of the sacrament making promises to strive more diligently towards perfection. People in your wards will have their favorites and cliques will continue to exist. You will either fit in or you won't and at times, you won't fit in with ANYONE.
You may also feel as though the ward membership has only the power within themselves to only tolerate your presence vs provide the Christlike version of charitable fellowship and this, above all else, may cause your hearts to sink into despair and hopelessness. It hurts to feel alone or feel like you are outcast or that perhaps you don't fit in or that you don't belong. It hurts when people would rather talk with someone else than they would like to talk to you.
"One day you will prove to them all that they were wrong and God will prove to you that he was right about you all along." Now what do I mean by that? Well if you know your heart and that you are striving to be 'pure of heart' then you have no need to fear. God doesn't need permission by any of your ward members to allow your entry into heaven, PERIOD!
Turn to the Book of Mormon with me to "Jacob Chapter 3:1-2 and read the following:
1 But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction. 2 O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever.
Are people really just sometimes acting like jerks? Possibly. We don't know their past or their upbringing. If you dare, ask them some questions to find out more about them. It is often revealing to discover just how it is that they were brought up. Continue in those conversations by stating how you understand a little more about them and thank them for that insight. Then do your best to lock away their secrets. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, right?
I testify to you, brothers and sisters, that it is not part of the natural man to think well of others and no matter what society you are brought up in, people are taught to shun that which they do not understand and we as a human race are not very teachable when it comes to how one ought to be treated and how to treat one another plain and simple. Judge not lest ye be judge. If you feel that you have been ostracized or ignored or loved less than what you are deserving of then join the club. People do have their favorites. It's also human nature...it's also ugly.
There's really very little we can do about this looming plague over those who are members of the church as it is also a plague upon humanity. Wards may have the same attendance percentages and similar rosters of like-minded people for many o quarterly reports. Your Elders quorum presidents will cite Home Teaching numbers and about reactivity and perhaps one soul or two will find his way through the labyrinth and regain his zeal for obedience to the Lord's commandments and begin to once again strive towards the heavenly goal while moving on up in the straight and narrow path. One day, my brothers and sisters, you WILL prove to the world that they were wrong about you but only if you have the intestinal fortitude to say this: I have ONE being that I need to be faithful to above all and that is faithful to the Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, first and foremost. Then you have a responsibility to your family and those you have stewardship over. (Including your home teaching families and those who are recipients of your service included within your church responsibilities and callings.) The important thing to know is that God loves you. You do NOT NEED the approval or fellowship of ward membership. I personally have not had my worthiness come into question by the bishop enough to talk with him about anything however I assume that it is possible where my own behavior may have gotten me into trouble. I am a bit 'boorish by nature' and being thus endowed (also described as being a bull in a china shop) I may have done, said or behaved after a manner which could have been offensive towards others. Que sera sera.
Brothers and sisters, do also as Jacob suggests that we do at the end of his record by 'being wise' as well as humble. Charity faileth not and he who is possessor of charity, at the last day, will have so much more the advantage over the brother who chose to participate in gossip or 1-upsmanship or any other behavior that signifies, "I am better than you because..." and perhaps they've got a full laundry list of GOOD and VALID reasons as to why they are better than you! Believe NONE of them. They may or may NOT have made better choices than you but if one of their choices was to think himself or herself as better than you, then they've got something wrong for 'all are alike unto God and God is no respecter of persons. God will not hold a sword over your neck with a vengeance. Jesus Christ will have compassion on they who have compassion on others. One day, not only will every 'knee bow and tongue confess' but part of this confession is where people will come to you and plead for your forgiveness on how you were treated. They will not need this forgiveness for their own entry into heaven for Jesus Christ has ALREADY paid the ultimate price and providing for us our atonement assured.
Some gossip is founded on truth, on partial truths and upon lies. The best way not to participate in gossip in your wards is to set the example. For example, if a new person comes into the ward and you've had the chance to talk with them and fellowship with them, then count your blessings if they are potentially one of your future, enduring friends. However, if another ward member decides to ask you questions about them, simply say this, "I don't know much about those guys so you'll have to go and talk with them yourself." Shift the responsibility of 'getting to know a new ward member' onto their shoulder because it is not up to you to do so. If they have something opinionated to say about them or perhaps they want you to agree on their assessments about them, then I suggest to you that you do one of the following: Excuse yourself from the conversation by politely saying, "I don't know enough about them to have an opinion about the matter." or simply say, "Well I suppose that's one way that someone could see them as being..." but reserve the right to get to know them yourself.
Brothers and Sisters... I testify to you that God loves us and he is keenly aware of how we're being treated or how others may have perceived or continue to perceive us as being. The important thing, above all others, is that you trust in the Lord. He will set things right and if at ALL necessary, he will send down justice upon those who seek your discomforts and want you to feel less than worthy. God teaches patience and he teaches humility. People will come up to you, in your lifetime, and tell you that they are sorry. Forgive them frankly and receive them as one of your friends wholeheartedly for you must... if you want to be numbered among they who are blessed of the Father in the last day.
I write these things and do so in the name of Jesus Christ, my redeemer, amen. Below: This was my rant but I decided to start over. If you enjoy reading and getting more in depth with the way I view the world, then read this unedited rant below. Otherwise, the article is done.
You decided to come back to church for the first time in forever and/or possibly you've been there for a while and haven't found your crowd. People go about their business and hustle off to class and yet, something feels missing. There hasn't been any fellowship. You sense something is missing but you just can't put your finger on it. It is my hope to write but a few words that if taken in the proper spirit can help save you from a downward spiral that could lead to bitterness and further inactivity and disenfranchisement from the church. For all of those who have felt lonely or outcast or for those who didn't feel like they belong, then perhaps this message is for you. A week or so goes by, and you begin to talk with someone at a mutual activity and their conversations with you are robotic and brief until you politely excuse yourself to then see that same ward member strike it up with one of their buddies giving handshakes with gusto and happiness. "What just happened?" you ask yourself. Did my breath offend? Did I let my hair go a bit too long before cutting it? Have I done something to offend the flock and I now begin to feel ostracized because perhaps something has been said concerning you either real or perceived that may or not be true? I have been the member of a ward for some time now and perhaps part of this is an editorial but in the end, or in the blog, I'd like to possibly answer some of those burning questions that I sometimes ask myself by also being the member of a ward family. We sure are an assortment of many different personalities both positive and negative. Before I begin making assumptions and then concocting solutions for assumptions both real or imagined, let me just clear the air and spell this one out for you clear as crystal. Gossip and judgment happens in the church PERIOD! Cliques are formed and judgments are made about you as to where you ought to belong. It's just human nature. It's not your fault or theirs, it's just how we are naturally bred to be. Even in the book of Mormon, it is discovered how the people would divide themselves into classes. If you want a fantastic read about Mormon's understanding on how the latter days would look like, then 4th Nephi is a very good read. It talks a lot about this. Now Mr LDSLIFE, you might be guilty of passing judgment upon others...beware on how you judge...and the measure in which you judge shall be added unto you etc etc... I get that. This is why I wish to tread somewhat carefully on the subject because whether I have all rhyme and reason or not, it seemeth me good to at least elaborate on my own experiences and then we'll let history decide whether they be of truth or may they be from out of my own imaginations. So once again, for all of those who have felt lonely or outcast or for those who didn't feel like they belong, then perhaps this message is for you and I believe that it is paramount that you read these words before considering to spend any length of time apart from coming to church and apart from renewing the covenant that you made with the Lord in being baptized because above all else, this must be observed. (I will explain a bit more what I mean by this below.)

Your words offend me not!
Be slow to anger and quick to forgive. Be hard to offend and even harder to sway from a cheerful disposition.
I've read and re-read some of the latest stories on the internet and one of the words or terms or phrases I hear most about as it pertains to unforgivable offenses are these "irreconcilable differences" and "*blank* offends me." I'll never do business with this company again..." or other phrases of false anger like, "They should have known better than to say this!" when, for the most part, the issuer of the offensive phrases may or may not have even known that it was socially unacceptable or even offensive. Should he or she have to apologize?
Since when did we become a society that has such thin skin and where we are so easily offended?
Do we live in a world which by our very existence and our being here could be offensive to something or someone?
We use air that gets polluted and it's that country's/state's,city's fault, water that belongs to a certain tribe or principality that is not being shared and other resources that may belong to someone else.
We do not have a choice as to whether someone is going to offend us. Not even if we live alone as a hermit somewhere in the middle of the wilderness are we not going to be offended by something or someone. Someone somewhere and somehow is going to take offense about something but why? When do we learn how to be offended? Is it even REAL? or is it false anger or has it been taught to us by our parents and teachers as to the reasons we ought to be offended? Does someone gain anything by being or saying that they were offended?
I personally believe that saying the words, "I'm offended" helps to release people from any personal responsibility for maintaining their own happiness. It makes it easy, I postulate, to say, "I'm not happy because of... and then, name a reason for the offense."
Lives and the eternal lives of men hang on the balance, at times, from that one time they were offended and choose to stay offended, it may at times then seem.
I shudder at times to think that something I may have said, insinuated or done at times may have forever altered people from a path which could undoubtedly lead them to happiness and yet they will not. Do we even have the right to say, "I am not happy because of him? or her?" or anybody but ourselves? I suppose that God will help us sort things out. I used to have high anxiety and passed through times of deep, dark depression thinking that the 'sword of justice was looming over my head and God was letting me say my 'goodbyes' and I was walking the earth as a dead man walking since the # of people I have offended should by about now have been TOO HIGH for God to continue letting me be. I'm a bull in a china shop and undoubtedly have said things that has offended someone else and it's MY FAULT that they won't now make it home to our heavenly, celestial home!" If any of you have thought about this, experienced the gravity of my words or otherwise, then I have one thing to say to you.
CONGRATULATIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE ROLE OF 'TESTERS' IN THIS WORLD WHERE NOT ONLY ARE WE BEING TESTED BUT SOMETIMES, WE ARE THE TEST!
We are the test? Well, we know that we are being 'tested' but are we also at times, being the test?
I think so. But think about it for a moment, shall we?
I'm not saying that by our words, we have helped the devil to tempt men or that somehow by being part of the problem has disqualified us from being part of any solutions which lead us to happiness in the future. I feel it is well within my authority to at least suggest that not only are we here to be tested, but at times we play the role of 'challenger' as we go head to head with others of our fellow brothers and sisters while on this earth. I could say this, and I'd probably be within my own to say this too, and I'd say,
"My experience with Utah LDS has been less than favorable and I have experienced the worst of the worst of criticism and judgment and the uncaring callous of men and women who to me, at times, appeared not to have a SOUL when I would deal with them." Are they bad and not going to heaven because of my findings? Absolutely NOT! I would not be the person I am today had I not had a brush up or two against a couple of Utah Mormons. I won't EVER choose to live there even if I were to live for another 100 years. It's just not going to happen!
The difference between myself and a few others who in life, have complained about their feelers being hurt, is simply being boiled down to 1 simple phrase. "I have been offended, which was not my choosing. I continue to choose NOT to remain offended. This much I do have control over"
Am I probably going to develop and continue progressing while in this life despite the dozens or possibly 100's of people that my boorish behavior may have been party to in the offenses against my fellow men? Absolutely! Has my phraseology and language towards others been perverted and tainted because of the natural man/the state of the natural man that I find myself at times a party to? Absolutely! Would you not think that your words have been so horribly disgusting that you should just quit right now and hope that God will have mercy on you? MERCY is the MAIN thing that I am hoping for myself and others! Am I probably one day going to have fingers pointed at my face as to being the reason that "HE was not happy" or that "SHE was mistreated?" You bet!
When I watch T.V. and see a guy on trial for bombing himself up and others, my knee jerk reaction is to want to pick up a stone and be one of the first to cast it however the older I get, the more I want to let that stone fall off my fingers onto the ground and to drop down onto my own knees and weep to then say to myself, "I pray for mercy for him, and for me, and for all others who have discovered or have yet to discover the lost and fallen state that we now should most definitely be conscious of which is our current reality!
But aren't I worried about the judgment for having offended so many of your brothers and sisters and that you won't make it in?
Well for one, if you knew me and my past, you would have been able to see both the good and the bad and we'd probably be able to come to some sort of understanding that my own life (if classified) probably doesn't look that much different than yours.
Brothers and sisters... life is TOO SHORT to spend it worrying about the past!
"All you can do is all you can do and all you can do is (or at least I hope it will be) enough - Art Williams.
I think that the disgust we feel when we see the mistakes of others happens for 1 or more reasons:
1) We are also offenders and we do not like to observe this behavior in others or against us. It's only natural.
2) We have been taught both in our conditioning and environment to accept or reject certain behaviors as 'inappropriate.'
3) We discover the deficits that exist in ourselves and fail to realize that we too are 'beggars' and depend on the same being, which is God, for our support and our daily bread. Our happiness stems from knowing who we are and not only becoming all who we could possibly become but to acknowledge that we DO have a savior and a mediator between us and God.
Jesus said that we should be 'faithful in but a few things' in order to be rulers over many.
When I read in the scriptures on how certain men, who are now my heroes, have handled this topic.
I think of King Benjamin, most especially, when I look for hope and reasons to hope.
King Benjamin was a laborer... he set forth his hand on a great number of occasions to work on behalf of his people and to publish peace. The weight of responsibility which rested upon his shoulders, as king, is something I could barely imagine for myself.
Wouldn't he think at times, "Did I put this man to death in vain and was he innocent and will God judge me thus?"
In the book of Mosiah, we get these two insights. For we are ALL BEGGARS!
Mosiah 4:19
19 For behold, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all the substance which we have, for both food and raiment, and for gold, and for silver, and for all the riches which we have of every kind?
It is very important that when we fall, we should seek mercy. The world would have you believe that you should seek justice and punishment for the wrongs that you do but this is not the way that the Lord would have us do it. Jesus himself went on record saying that we should 'judge righteous judgment or judge not at all' because the same rules that we apply to others may one day be applied against them and this indeed would be nothing short of a travesty for any good man or woman who probably has been keeping the commandments but have been discovered later on as men or women who 'have not charity' which is the pure love of Christ, it may not be well with them.
No wonder why the Lord was so content with his parables about the 'Samaritan' in the various stories that he told.
He would rather we be our very best version of those who speak kind words and give meaningful service to others.
He would rather we be keeping the commandments of our father in heaven and not only out of duty but out of the love that we have towards our father in heaven and our yearning to become more like him.
Having written all of this, I must also include that yes, we should offend less.
I am not a fanatic about political correctness or any of its falseness. I don't feel any higher up on the totem pole for giving someone a pleasant label or adding any sweetness to an already bitter taste regardless of how much the world would rather that I do so. I may actually call it a shovel or a spade and it doesn't matter to me if this has offended someone else. That's their problem and not mine. Will they choose not to deal with me or will they refuse to talk with me? I don't care! If that man or woman chooses to stick to this and for the rest of their lives shun me then so be it. I've got 6,999,999,999 others in the world that I can go and form warm, personal relationships with and I won't lose much sleep over that and I may only mourn the loss of one potential friend but a little.
The Savior, in all of his perfection, still managed to leave his life with enemies, his friends betrayed him and left him alone in his hours of need and suffering. I am no greater than he... rather, I am no where even close to his greatness... but if I leave this life with my sealing intact and with my forever family and having done some good and done some thing to positively touch the lives of others and help them on our way, then perhaps the Lord will remember that above all... that I may feel the joy with the one or more who choose to press forward and onward and great shall be our joy and hopefully all will be forgotten.
It is my hope that I can forgive more than I am forgiven. I will not forgive others because they need my forgiveness... I'll do it because I need it for myself. I need to remove the weight from my heart and set aside the stumbling block of stubbornness and unwillingness to be gentle with others. I am grateful for my children and my daughter. It has been many many months since I have written in this blog and I am grateful for this day. I woke up again and I didn't die in the night so it's possible that God has yet more for me to do and learn.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
